UXcamp is a one-day BarCamp where you can learn and share
your passion about User Experience and related disciplines, such as
Information Architecture, Interaction and Visual Design,
Service Design, Content Strategy, Psychology, Usability, and many more.
This event is for designers, strategists, product and project managers, developers, thinkers and anyone else who is interested in this broad range of topics.
It’s all about giving it a go. There are no presenters, no visitors, everyone is a participant!
How it works?
All participants are offered the chance to give a talk, workshop, or lead a discussion. Pitch your talk in the morning during a “madness session”, upon which the audience votes, but don’t go too mad!
There’s going to be a lot of pitches, so make yours short, clear, and to the point.
After all the pitches are given, we will make a schedule for the day.
Duration of sessions:
Talks are expected to be max 30 mins, including Q&A
Workshops will be given for about 2 hours.
Every UXcamper is encouraged to facilitate a session on his/her own or as a small team. Session topics typically include workshops, presentations, case studies, pop songs (!) or open discussions related to User Experience, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Service Design, Content Strategy, Psychology, Usability and similar topics – some sessions might even be completely unrelated to any of these topics.
The 30 minutes sessions provide loads of time for presenting a short talk, or demonstrating new ideas and technologies. This will be followed by an open discussion.
Since everyone is a (potential) speaker, the discussions can be a wee bit intense yet always respectful. Whichever topic you decide on just remember that BarCamp’s are collaboration oriented. Anything like a workshop should be grand.
Up to anything amazing in the world of UX these days? Or did you end up on your arse with a load of lessons learned? Sure it happens to us all, and we love hearing about it!
We are looking for your great design ideas that have been brought to reality or a project that went completely off the rails. Don’t miss this chance to share the stage with our incredible line-up of speakers.
The goal of these talks is to showcase great examples of UX, both success stories and epic failures.
